Mildred Stacey Sereda, 92, of Vienna, WV passed peacefully October 17, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg. She was the last surviving of twelve children of the late Henry and Mary Goodwin Stacey. Mildred was born February 13, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. Right after high school graduation, Mildred worked for the phone company, then Arlington, New Jersey DuPont Laboratories during WWII. After many years devoted to raising her children in Vienna, she worked part time at United Bank and caretaking at St. Michael and St. Francis Xavier Churches, she also volunteered at the Red Cross and St. Joseph's Hospital. Mildred is survived by sons, Stephen Sereda (Katherine) and Thomas Sereda. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Sereda, daughter, Dorothy (Sereda) Driscoll and son, Carl Sereda. Although most of her family, friends, and acquaintances have already passed, she was loved and appreciated in her time and by those who remain. A service will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Vienna at 8:15, Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Cremated remains will be interred at a later date at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Parkersburg. The family would like to thank the staff of Camden Clark Hospital and the Willows for their care.
