Michael E. Tumlin, 64, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away at his residence January 10, 2017. He was born June 7, 1952, in Parkersburg, a son of Janell Trembly Tumlin of Parkersburg and the late Loman Tumlin. Michael was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Mt. Olivet #3 in Parkersburg. HE enjoyed boating and golfing and was retired from Kraton Polymers as an operator. In addition to his mother he is survived by one daughter, Angela Grimshaw (Shane) of Lawrenceville, GA.; one son, Michael Tumlin Jr. of Parkersburg; two grandchildren, Desirea Hastings and Dylan Grimshaw; three brothers, Gary Tumlin, Robert Tumlin (Cathy) and Ronald Tumlin all of Parkersburg; his fiancée, Lois Arnold of Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews; and his former spouse, Betty Tumlin of Fairmont, W.Va. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Tumlin. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Reverend Michael Daniels officiating. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
