Michael David Lovell

Michael David Lovell, 77, of Elizabeth, WV, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. Born on January 28, 1948 to James K. Lovell and Margaret L. Lovell. Mike graduated from Parkersburg High school with the class of 1966. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Ronquil Submarine as a sonar technician. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He was also an EMT with the Wirt County EMS Squad. Mike was very adept at working on electronic equipment and repairing anything that was broken. Though he was a very private person, Mike was well liked by anyone that knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce “Sue” Tewes (Mike) and brothers, James K. Lovell, Jr (Sharon), Robert L. Lovell and Lynford C. Lovell (Patty).

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan (Wharton) Lovell (1990); second wife Naomi (Williamson) Lovell (2016); brother, Rodney D. Lovell; sister-in-law, Pamela N. Lovell and his parents.

The family would like to thank Housecalls Hospice for their help with caring for Mike and Eagle Pointe Nursing Home for the exceptional care they provided. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home will take care of the cremation, and the family will have a private memorial at a later date.
