Michael Ross Chipps

Michael Ross Chipps, 76, of Parkersburg passed away on December 2, 2024 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1948 in Cowen, WV, a son of the late Clarence and Nellie Smith Chipps. Michael served our country honorably in the United States Air Force as a SGT and scuba diver. He loved the Lord and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to gospel sings, and travelling. He leaves behind his children, Michelle Ingram (Billy) and Scott Chipps (Sasha); a sister, Catherine Chapman; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special friends, Dave, Sharon, and Robin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances K. Chipps, and several brothers and sisters. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, is honored to serve the Chipps family.
