Melissa Dawn Parsons

Melissa Dawn Parsons, 48, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away from a sudden massive stroke on Nov. 18, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center surrounded by all of her loved ones. She was born Feb. 17, 1967, to Beatrice George Parsons of Mineral Wells and the late Bernard L. Parsons. Missy graduated from Parkersburg South High School in 1985 and has been employed at Nashua, Coldwater Creek, Westbrook Health Services, PWP (Pactiv), Hino, and Woodcrafters. She was a loving and caring daughter, mother, girlfriend, sister, aunt and friend. Missy loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved the outdoors, spending time in the mountains, and joking around with others. Because of her caring and generous nature, Missy gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation. The family would like to thank the staff at CCMC on the 4th floor and ICU, as well as, Molly Baer and the rest of the staff from Lifeline of Ohio for their kindness. In addition to her mother, Bea, she is survived by her son, Jimmy Crouch; her soul mate, Richard Riel and his sons, Brian and Brandon; sisters, Susan Yeager (Chris) and Cindy Lang (Kevin) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sandy Greathouse (Jack) of Lancaster, Ohio; brother, Bernie Parsons (Karen) of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, John Hannah of Mineral Wells; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her father, Bernard L. Parsons; and her sister, Sharon Jo Hannah. Memorial Services will be held at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the service at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Houser and Pastor Steve Gedon officiating. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pike St., South Parkersburg, will be assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Williamstown Bank in memory of Missy Parsons.
