Melba M. Hall Allman, 98, of Parkersburg, passed on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at The Willows. She was born December 1919, in Liverpool, WV. Melba was a 1940 graduate of Belpre High School. She retired from Ideal Box Factory after 23 years of service and was a member of Edgelawn United Methodist Church. Melba enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going to church sings and cooking for her family. She is survived by her three children, Herman Hall (Mary) of Mineral Wells, Linda Brotosky of Parkersburg and June Yocom (Denny) of Little Hocking, OH; her daughter in-law, Goldine Hall of Parkersburg; eighteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Melba was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Hall; second husband, Hubert Allman; three children, Freda Riel, Jack Hall and Lloyd Hall; three sons in-law, Roy Riel, Lou Brotosky and Bradley Yocom; her grandson, Shawn Wilfong; and her two brothers, Paul and Dale. The family would like to thank Dr. Kuppuswamy, Hospice, Panhandle and The Willows for their loving support and kindness given to Melba. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Danny McVey officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
