Megan Renee Johnson, 30, of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away at her residence.She was born March 9, 1985, in Parkersburg, W.Va. a daughter of Beth Shepherd Johnson of Parkersburg and the late Dr. Michael Johnson.Megan was a true artist and her passion in life was singing, song writing, andpainting. She loved animals especially cats. Megan was a 2003 graduate of Parkersburg South High School where she was a cheerleader and played softball.In addition to high school, she cheered at Mineral Wells, Edison and Fairmont University. She played softball for the WV Heat girls traveling softball team.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Jason Johnson and his wife, Kristen of Parkersburg; her nephew, Brayden Johnson and her niece, Allison Johnson, both of Parkersburg; her grandmother, Geneva Johnson of Parkersburg; her grandfather, Paul Shepherd of Vienna, W.Va.; a step-grandfather, Bob Tebay of Parkersburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Ann Tebay; and her grandfather, Robert Johnson.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Jeff Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society.
