Maurice D. BuzzardMaurice D. Buzzard, 88, of Murphytown, W.Va., passed away on January 30, 2011 at Ohio Valley Health Care.He was born November 20, 1922, in Smithville, W.Va., a son of the late Henry Clark and Chantilla Rogers Buzzard.Maurice was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.He retired from John-Manville Company after 36 years of service.He is survived by his wife, Donna Reynolds Buzzard; two sisters, Dorothy Lou White and husband, Willard of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Dora Wright of Dayton, Ohio; and one brother, Burl Buzzard of Ravenswood, W.Va.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Moore Buzzard; three brothers, Kenneth, Donald and Okey Buzzard; and one sister, Ora McAtee.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Evangelist Teddy Tackett officiating.Private burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Public visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
