Mary Louise Tuell

Surrounded by her loving family, Mary Louise Holland Tuell, 80, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., defeated Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s as she went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2016. She was born March 9, 1936, in Roane County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Herbert and Misty “Marie” Boggs Holland. Mary was a 1954 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a graduate of Parkersburg Community College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She retired in 1993 from St. Joseph Hospital as a Registered Nurse. Mary loved her family and will be remembered for her kind and encouraging spirit by everyone who knew her. She was a member of the Big Tygart United Methodist Church where she was an integral part of the church prayer chain and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bernard Tuell; three daughters, Tammy (Steve) Parker of Mineral Wells, Tracey (Rev. Philip) Dent of Parsons, W.Va., and Dee Dee (Jeff) Nichols of Mineral Wells; one son, Rev. Dr. Steven (Wendy) Tuell of Wexford, Pa.; one brother, Rev. Bob (Dolly) Holland of Mineral Wells; two sisters, Sheila Peters of Mineral Wells and Sharon (Tom) Brown of Mineral Wells; 11 grandchildren, Merideth (Dr. Mike) Paff, Katelyn Parker, Sean, Anthony and Mark Tuell, Lacey, Brandon and Emily Dent, Stacey Favor, and Rhianna and Kyle Nichols; three great-grandchildren, Parker and Nick Paff, and Kiley Favor; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Tuell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Rodney Blanchard officiating. Interment will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
