Mary Catherine Piggott

October 2, 1935 — February 16, 2017

Mary Catherine Piggott, fell asleep in death, on February 16, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born on October 2, 1935, to Charles Cummins Givens and Hazel Louise Staats Givens. She was 81 years old. Mary dedicated her life to Jehovah God 35 years ago, and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She looked forward to the time when Jesus promised that “those in the memorial tombs will…come out.” (John 5:28, 29) In harmony with God’s original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise earth.” (Luke 23:43) This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for obedient humans. The Bible says: “the righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29). Mary leaves behind her beloved daughter, Nancy Gail Piggott. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Harrison Piggott; and her sister, Judith A. Peters. Mary worked at Rig and Reel Company in Parkersburg, West Virginia as a secretary and upon retirement she enjoyed family life and being with her dear friends at the Kingdom Hall on Gihon Road. Mary will be greatly missed by all her friends. She will always be remembered for her spontaneous sense of humor and love of people. Per her wishes there will be no services. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Green St. Parkersburg is assisting the family.
