Watson, 89, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on August 27, 2010 at Ohio Valley Health Care.She was born July 9, 1921, in Fairplay, Ky., a daughter of the late Lannes and Nannie Mae Strange Loy.Mary was previously employed at Emerson Lanes and Wilson's Market. She enjoyed attending activities at the Senior Citizen's Center, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.She is survived by three children, Jerry C. (Joanne) Watson and Ronald L. (Betty) Watson, both of Parkersburg, and Debra G. (Jon) Jackson of Waterford, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Brian (Ann) Watson, Brent (Christy) Watson, Janelle (Brian) Schimke, and Ron (Melissa) Watson Jr., all of Parkersburg, Eric J. Watson of North Carolina, Jamie (Joanna) Spears of Parkersburg, and Melissa (Byron) Dowdy of Virginia; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Watson; son, Darwin T. Watson; grandson, Jeremy Watson; two brothers, Woodrow Vincent Loy and Drewy Lannes Loy; and two sisters, Irene Dimple Weir and Mabel Bernice Loy.Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Gene Waybright officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, at the funeral home.An online guestbook will be available at www.lamberttatman.com.
