Mary Beth (Benson) Hardesty, 71, of Torch, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Arcadia Nursing Facility, Coolville, Ohio. She was born February 10, 1944 in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late Donald A. and Mary L. (Schaar) Benson. Mary was retired from Housecalls – Home Health Care and she enjoyed sewing, reading, flowers, crafts, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Roberts (Kenny) of Hockingport, Ohio and Erin Travis (Leonard) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, Jeff Hardesty (Jodi) of Hockingport; her two sisters, Karen Kummerow (Craig) of Gibson City, Ill. and Tia Edgecomb (Ron) of Woodstock, Ill.; five grandchildren, Joshua Rowe, Justin Rowe, Christopher Garlow, Michael Travis, and Sean Hardesty; and two great-grandchildren, Audrey Rowe and Oliver Rowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry R. Hardesty on April 23, 2007; one daughter, Robin Hardesty; and two brothers, Dale and Dennis Benson. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre with Pastor Rick Bourne officiating. Interment will follow at the Newbury Cemetery inLittle Hocking. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
