Mary Lou Richards Flinn, 83, of Lubeck, W.Va., went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Aug. 16, 2015, at Camden Clark Medical Center.She was born July 29, 1932, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Absolom and Ethel Dawson Richards.Mary was a 1952 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was retired with over 17 years of service from St. Joseph's Hospital, where she was a nursing assistant. In her early years, she enjoyed roller skating and skate dancing. Mary loved going on family vacations to the beach, loved spending time with her family, going out to eat and shopping. She was a past member of Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, had previously attended Christian Life Center Church and was actively attending Homeland Community Church.Mary is survived by her five children, Vicky (Dan) Thomas of Parkersburg, Steven (Shari) Flinn of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Jenny (Brady) Stephens of Parkersburg, Joseph (Angie) Flinn of Mineral Wells and Timothy (Amy) Flinn of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Stephanie (Stace) Thomas Asbury, Jason (Alexia) Thomas, Ambrosia (Dave) Flinn McCabe, Alisha Flinn, Jadiah Flinn, Parker Stephens, Benjamin Brown, Brooke (Ty) Flinn Keener, Breanna Flinn, Evan Flinn and Landon Flinn; great grandchildren, Allison and Brent Asbury, Camren McCabe, Grayson and Coleson Keener and Jaylee and Kade Thomas.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Virgil N. Flinn in 2012; one granddaughter, Angel Flinn; two brothers, Arthur and Robert Richards; and four sisters, Helen Westfall, Freda Seay, Kathryn Wolfe and Grace Douglas Vierheller.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Brady Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Lubeck Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Homeland Community Church, 2101 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, WV 26101 in Mary's memory.
