Mary L. Cooper, 76 of Washington, W.Va. passed away on July 6, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born December 30, 1939, in Calhoun County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles “Greely” and Evelyn Gaye Bailey. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and arranging flowers. She also liked to travel and go on cruises with her family. She is survived by her husband of fifty six years, Gary S. Cooper; one son, Jeff Cooper (Carole) of Washington; one daughter, Stephanie Swartzmiller (Joey) of Washington; two brothers, Chesley “Buck” Bailey (Wilma) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and David Bailey (Cathy) of Ellwood City, PA; four grandchildren, Elisha Nelson (Randy), Matt Cooper, Dustin Swartzmiller all of Washington, and Jessica Sams (Bill) of Parkersburg; eight great-grandchildren, Kinley, Kolby, Landon, Laken, Madison, Mason, Brody and Wyatt; a special niece, Kim Wilson of Parkersburg, several other nieces and nephews and special friends from Don Emilio’s. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Bernis Bailey, Wilma Faye Vannoy, Iva Jean Bailey, Charles Bailey, Irene Bailey, Jack Bailey, Karen Lutz, Dan Bailey, Sue Bailey, Roger Bailey and Gladys Linger. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor John Vannoy officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. on Friday at the funeral home.
