Mary Lena Campbell Gibson, age 92, residing in Parkersburg, WV, died Saturday, April 4, 2020 at The Willows. She was born in Glenville, WV, daughter of the late Adrian Carl Campbell and Nellie Mae Herron. Mary was a graduate of Sand Fork High School, worked at a glass factory in Weston, WV and attended a beauty college in Weston, WV. She was a hairdresser and homemaker in Smithville, WV most of her life. She was a resident of The Willows in Parkersburg, WV since 2005. Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jackie Ray and Darla J. Shiflet; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa D. and George M. Schott, all residing in Tennessee; son, Eric A. Gibson of Godfrey, Illinois; grandson, Jason Ray Shiflet of Harrisville, WV; granddaughter, Jennifer R. Rasicci of Vienna, WV; grandson, Chase McDaniels of Pennsboro, WV; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Morgan Gibson, and brothers, Edward Campbell and Odbert Ray Campbell. In lieu of flowers, Mary’s wish is for donations to be made for her autistic son, Eric Gibson, as a final gift from his mother. Mary was such a positive and strong lady throughout her life and never once complained about her hardships, even after having a stroke that deprived her of her love of doing hair, painting, and other artistic gifts. She had a smile that would melt our heart and she will be so truly missed by us all. Due to the ongoing health concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no service or visitation. Mary will be laid to rest in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Harrisville, WV.
