Mary Jo Biediger, 86, of Parkersburg, WV passed away on February 22, 2026, at The Wyngate Senior Living Community.
She was born October 6, 1939, in Gore, VA, eldest daughter of the late Alva James (‘Joe’) Kerns and Violet Clark Kerns.
Mary is survived by her children, Marlene Sterrick (Dan) and Michael Biediger (Karen); grandchildren, Chris Biediger (Arisara), Courtney Schneider (Jacob), and Luke Biediger; great grandson; Austin Schneider; her sisters; Patricia Lawrence and Barbara Abrell (Larry) as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Melvin (Tex) Biediger.
Services will be held 11 am in Winchester, VA on March 20th at Jones Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Wyngate for their compassionate care given to Mary during her stay.
