Martha L. Nichols

Martha L. Nichols, 84, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away on October 4, 2016 at Worthington Nursing Home. She was born November 4, 1931, in St. Marys, W.Va., a daughter of Harold and Mabel Johnson Fricker. Martha was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed bowling, going on tour bus trips and going to casinos. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Shepard (Michael) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, William Nichols (Betty) of Parkersburg; one sister, Sara Bailey (David) of Coolville, OH; one brother, Gary Farnsworth of Veto, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Billy, Alan, Jeremy and Tiffany Nichols, Steve Shepard and Tammie White; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Nichols; and grandson, Jeffery Shepard. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Rev. Michael Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
