Maria Margot Thomas Shulor

Maria Margot Thomas Shulor, 85, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born March 16, 1926 in Boydon, Germany, a daughter of the late Eduard and Margareta Rotter.Maria is survived by her son and wife, Robert and Alice Thomas of Vienna, W.Va.; step-son and wife, William and Margaret Chichester of Columbia, SC; and two grandchildren, Amanda Adams and husband Stan of Cortland, Ohio, and Jack Thomas of Belpre, Ohio. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jason O. Thomas and Jack H. Shulor; and six brothers and sisters, Franz Rotter, Rudy Rotter, Kurt Rotter, and Erich Rotter all of Germany, Gertrude Binkowski of Australia, and Richard Rotter of Germany. Maria was a charter member of the German Women's Club; a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary; the Elks Ladies Auxiliary; and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and Sanctuary Society. She enjoyed crocheting, decorating, gardening, and cooking. She also enjoyed her friends in the “stitching” group for many years and especially loved being with her grandchildren.Private family services will be held at a later date.
