Margaret Elizabeth Spellman

Margaret Elizabeth Spellman, 81 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away March 5, 2015 at the Parkersburg Care Center.She was born Dec. 28, 1933 in Ripley, W.Va. the youngest of three girls born to William A. and Georgia Pease Spellman. Her ancestors include McKown, Flesher, McCauley, Dickerson, Pease and Spellman. She graduated from Wirt County High School in the early 1950's. She was the longest standing employee for the senior citizens association and spent most of her life caring for others. She retired from the Parkersburg Senior Citizens Center as a caregiver.Margaret is survived by two half brothers, Roy Spellman and Danny Palmer; a step-sister, Betty Myers;a sister-in-law, Agnes Godfrey; and a nephew-in-law who resided with her, Michael Kovacs; as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her older sisters, Audra Sprouse and Mary McKay; a brother, William (Bubba) A. Spellman Jr.; and a niece, Mary Ann.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg. Private burial will follow at the Lubeck Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
