Margaret A. Bunner, 87, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 17th, 1939, Margaret lived a life full of warmth, creativity, and devotion to her family and community.
Margaret was a talented floral designer who spent many fulfilling years crafting beautiful arrangements at Sandy's Florist. Her artistic flair didn't stop there; she also delighted in creating intricate Barbie clothes, a cherished hobby she nurtured at Aunt Marny's Creations.
Her love for sunflowers and reading brought joy to her life and those around her. Margaret found companionship and camaraderie as a cherished member of the Barlow Coonhunters Club.
Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Don Bunner; loving sons Mike Buck and wife Sally, and Jim Buck; sister Betty Wells; brother Chuck Smith; and numerous adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will continue her legacy of love and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles Wilbur Smith and Elizabeth Laverne Brannon Smith; her son, Ronald Buck; brother, Dale Smith; and sister, Patty Bailes. Margaret's family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with her departed loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to honor Margaret’s life on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM, both held at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, WV.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant some flowers in your yard in honor of Margaret.
