Mabel Alice James

Mabel Alice James, 66, passed away February 25, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1952 in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Overton Lee and Mary Elizabeth Mercer Lyons. She was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg High School and worked as a Nursing Assistant for 30 years at St. Joseph Hospital. Mabel enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Mabel is survived by a daughter, Mindy James of Parkersburg and her children, Justin James and Sean Cole; a son, Jimmy James of Columbus, OH; a sister, Carolyn Kelley of Parkersburg; three aunts, Ethel Smith of Parkersburg, Donna Huston of Belpre and Ida Morrow of Reno, OH; three other grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D. James; and three brothers, Gary, Walter and Steve Lyons. A graveside service will be held Noon, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Sunset Memory Gardens Chapel with Pastor Tim Burch officiating.
