Lydia Hyacinth Rogers

December 15, 1918 — June 19, 2017

Lydia Hyacinth Rogers went through the gates of heaven on June 19, 2017 at Harmar Place, in Marietta. Born December 15, 1918 in Pee Wee, Wirt County, WV. She was one of nine children born to the late Frank and Chloe Ethel Cline Enoch. She had been employed with FMC Corporation until its closing. She was a charter member of Crossroads UM Church and had been a Sunday school teacher, member of WSCS, and had held many offices in the church. She previously enjoyed valley mills homemakers, bowling, and crafts. She and her husband Carl were members of the foxhunters association. She was married to her husband Carl Rogers for 50 years until his death on December 25, 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers, Cecil, Homer, Dustin, Denzil, Don and three sisters, Faye, Olive and Laverna. She is survived by one daughter, Connie (Robert) Mayle, one granddaughter, Tara (Jared) Maynard and two great-granddaughters, Everly Grace and Hadley Faith Maynard. The family would like to thank Sandy Enoch for all the beautiful handmade cards that she sent to Mother every week and all the staff at Harmar Place that took care of her. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna, WV. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, June 22nd at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Dr. Art Tucker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Hyacinths name to Crossroads UM Church, 7390 Old St. Marys Pike, Waverly, WV. 26184.
