Lula Belle Knox, 83, of Parkersburg, passed away June 6, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1941 in Jackson County, a daughter to the late John and Birdie Bennett Rhodes.
She worked as an inspector for Corning Glass for many years. She enjoyed bluegrass music and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Left to cherish her memory include her son, Milton Wright (Susan) of North Carolina; her step-daughter, Linda Carder of Parkersburg; sisters, Marjory Martin, and Wanda Bradford; grandchildren, Bobby Wright (Melissa), Destiny Wright (Josue), Samantha Elder (Brandon), Matt Wright, Shayla Offenberger (Todd), Logan Wright (Bryanna), Brandy Carder, and R.D. Flinn; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Knox; two brothers, Harry Bennett, Charles Bennett; two sisters, Erma Horchar and Stella Masters; two sons, Jeffery and Samuel Wright; her grandson, Brandon Wright; and her bird, Hooter.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. Parkersburg, with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., on Wednesday, June 11th at the funeral home.
