Lula Bell Harper 69, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away January 2, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. She was born January 9, 1946 in Cowan, W.Va., a daughter of the late John Drennen and Blenna Hammons Hamrick Drennen. She was a homemaker and was a member of the American Legion of Parkersburg and the VFW of Vienna. She is survived by four sons, Ralph Harper (Kimberly) of Parkersburg, John Harper (Sherial) of Waverly, W.Va., David Harper of Parkersburg and Daniel Harper (Shannon) of Waverly; one sister, Cora Lipscomb (John) of Vienna, W.Va.; one brother, Ralph Hamrick of Harmon, W.Va.; nineteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Harper; three great-grandchildren; Ryan Matthew, Stephen Austin and Holly Marie; two sisters, Beulah McDonald and Melina Barnett; three brothers, Loyal, Gile and Lloyd Hamrick. Funeral services for Lula will be 1:00 p.m.Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna with Pastor Bob Lizer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
