Luann Marie Ayers, 56, of Parkersburg, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1962, in Parkersburg, the daughter of Charles Crislip of Parkersburg and Barbara Jones of Parkersburg. Luann was a 1980 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a graduate of Glenville State College. She was an Elementary Education Teacher for over 30 years, which included Wirt County Primary Center. She loved going to the beach and finding sharks teeth in the ocean, enjoyed amusement parks, loved animals, (especially dachshunds) and helping others. Luann was a fan of Wirt County High School, Parkersburg South Patriots and the Hilltoppers. She enjoyed the outdoors and was a World Class Skier. Luann was also a member of the Lubeck Community Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Michael Ayers; two children, Kyle and Kayla Ayers both of Parkersburg; sister, Pam Clevenger (Dan); two brothers, Terry Crislip (Pam) and Joe Crislip (Diana). Luann was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee and Marie Young and Irene and Troy Crislip. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Lubeck Community Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Houser officiating. Burial will follow at K of P Cemetery in Elizabeth, WV. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Sunday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Lubeck Community Baptist Church, 154 Homewood Rd. Parkersburg, WV 26101, to initiate the LU-VE Foundation in Luann’s memory.
