Rev. Louise Ann “Wease” Knotts, 67, of St. Marys, W.Va., formerly of Vienna, W.Va., passed away June 29, 2015 at the Marietta Center.She was born January 5, 1948, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Cline and Janet Chambers Knotts.Wease graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1965. She continued her education at WVU, PCC, and Thiel College in Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary and was ordained as a Lutheran pastor June 4, 1986. She pastored in Bittinger, Md., and in Mifflintown, Pa. She pastored at the St. Stephens Lutheran Church. She taught Town and Country Ministries at Gettysburg Seminary. Prior to being a pastor she was an RN for 10 years at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.She is survived by her brother, Michael Knotts (Jenny) of Vienna; a niece, Katherine Bills (Dave) of Huntington, W.Va.; a nephew, Matthew Knotts (Lisa) of Huntington; an uncle, Marvin Knotts of Columbus, Ohio; several cousins; and a special friend, the Rev. Scott Baker of Logan, Ohio.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Knotts.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Christ Lutheran Church, 46th and Grand Central Ave. in Vienna with Pastor Emilie Theobald Rowlands and Bishop Ralph Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mustard Seed Fund at Christ Lutheran Church in Vienna or the Good Samaritan Food Pantry at Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna. Memorial envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
