Louis Gale Dye, 82, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away March 13, 2012 at his home. He was born October 14, 1929 in Smithville, W.Va., a son of the late Howard and Madge Hammer Dye.Louis was employed as a truck driver and was also a U.S. Marine veteran.He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Dye; one daughter, Joyce Shingleton (Sam) of St. Marys, W.Va.; one son, Doug Dye (Julie) of Vienna, W.Va.; one sister, Dene Williams of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Kenny Dye also of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Angela Keller, Melinda Sieloff, and Roger Bunner; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Dye; and a step-brother, Gene Collins.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday March 16, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. Burial will follow at Westfall Cemetery in Smithville, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
