Lottie Belle (Veon) McFee, 88, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2017, at the Ohio Valley Health Care in Parkersburg, WV. Lottie was born June 7, 1929, one of seventeen children, the daughter of the late Harley and Gay Connelly Veon of Munday Road, Wirt County. She graduated from Wirt County High School in Elizabeth, WV in 1947. She married Elmer D. McFee on November 24, 1948. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her yard, reading, raising a garden and canning her famous “Lottie green beans”, Lottie worked for Dr. Bob and Mrs. Coplin, and in later years she enjoyed volunteering at the Hope Shop and the Wirt County EMS (“The Squad”). She attended Elizabeth Baptist Church. Lottie is survived by her sons, Denver McFee and his wife Marty of Parkersburg and Richard McFee and his wife Anne of Mineral Wells. Her grandchildren, Troy (Amy) McFee, Tracy (Gary) Fling, Tim McFee, Josh Vandergrift, Cheri (Joe) Sheets and Richard (Mary) McFee Her great-grandchildren, Joey, Owen and Jake McFee, Logan and Gavin Fling, Jonah and Jacob Vandergrift, and Cheyenne and Dakotah (Brianna) McFee. She is also survived by her brothers, Dale and Francis Wayne Veon, and sisters, Emma Edwards, Anna Marshall, Hilda Bailey and Bonnie Buckley. In addition to her parents, Lottie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dean McFee, and five brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St.,south Parkersburg, with Dr. Leary Vanhorn officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the K of P Cemetery, Elizabeth, WV following the service.
