Lola Bonnie Hitzel

Lola Bonnie Hitzel, 93, of Vienna, WV passed away peacefully September 18, 2026, at Rockland Ridge in Belpre, OH.

Daughter of the late Lester and Dora Dawson, Lola was born April 8, 1933 in Clay, WV. She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1952 and went on to work for the U.S. Coast Guard Base Exchange for 20 years before retiring. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Warren; 2nd husband, Robert Hitzel; sisters, Freda Atkinson, Juanita Lynch, and Virginia Dawson; and brother, Emril Dawson.

Lola is survived by her loving son, Robert Michael Warren; granddaughter, Chelsea; a great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 

The family is very grateful for the care she received from the Rockland Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center staff.

A private cremation will take place and a family graveside inurnment will be at a later date.
