Lois Ann Pappas, 65, died unexpectedly December 12, 2019 after a short illness. She was born May 21, 1954 in Parkersburg, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Garnet and Lucille Smith Thorn. Lois attended Emerson, Vandevender, and Parkersburg High Schools. She had worked in the past at Dudley Florist and Fenton Art. She loved cooking, flowers, watching movies, and taking care of her many cats and her dog Callie. Lois is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Pappas; two sons, Stefin Pappas of Parkersburg and Justin Pappas (Jessica) of Central, West Virginia; Eleven grandchildren, Lilly and Isaiah Pappas of Vienna, Shawn and Devin Pappas of Charleston, South Carolina, Damien, Jada, Olivia, Jackson, and Denae Pappas of Philipi, West Virginia, and Julena Whitehair and Cole Baker of Vienna; sisters, Karen Mitchell (Colin), Sandra Wallace (David), Terri Lamp (Mark), and Cherie Lantz (Ron), and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were sisters Sue Miller and Pat McDonald; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Pappas and Tim Miller; and father-in-law, Jim Pappas. Services will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna with Reverend Rick Johnson officiating. Interment in Sunset Memory Gardens will follow at the family’s convenience. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
