Lloyd Earl Life, 91, formerly of Parkersburg passed away September 24, 2018 at The Arbors of Marietta, Ohio. He was born April 25, 1927 in the Pennike Road area of Belleville, WV, the son of William D. C. Life and Verna L. (Boice) Life. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and Beckley College with a degree in Business Administration. He also held a Journeyman Electrician’s license from the State of West Virginia. Lloyd served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army in WW II and the Korean Conflict. He previously was employed as a customer service manager with the O. Ames Company in Parkersburg, Minter Homes of Huntington, WV as the director of kitchen sales, and the owner of The Installation Company in Parkersburg, a home building and remodeling business until his retirement. He is survived by daughter, Judy Gore (Greg) of Mineral Wells and son, Doug Life (Fay Lee “Sweetie) of Daytona Beach, Florida. Lloyd is also survived by four grandchildren, Nicci Albert (Alex) of Chester, Virginia, Ryan Frankhouser (Charity) of Katy, Texas, Jackie Anderson of Vienna and Amy Gore (Sam McFee) of Elizabeth; five great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Albert, Austin and Logan Frankhouser, Emma Anderson, Cole McFee and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Will and Vernie Life, Lloyd was preceded in death by his former wife and friend, Aleda Ferguson Life, his daughter, Pamela Life Frankhouser; sisters, Nina Boley, Selma Lewis, Bernice Dasho and Irene Skinner; brothers, Alva Life, Roy Life, Ray Life, Dale Life, Ronald Life, infant brother Donald; niece, Susan Boley and nephew, Bill Life. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Larry Dale officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
