Linda Dianne Schofield

Linda Dianne Schofield, a beloved member of the Mineral Wells community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on March 11, 1947, in Parkersburg, WV, Linda lived a life rich with love, dedication, and warmth.

Linda spent her formative years in Parkersburg before making her home in Mineral Wells as a devoted homemaker. Her life revolved around her family, whom she loved unconditionally. Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life - solving word puzzles, camping, and playing games with her sister Janie. She was particularly fond of crocheting, which she often enjoyed on quiet afternoons.

Linda is survived by her sons, Loren Schofield (Kathy) and Rollin Leon Schofield (Jessica), and her sister, Janie Green (Roger). She leaves behind a lasting legacy with her grandchildren, Dakotha Walker (Sebastian), Brytanny Lovett (Trevon), and Mercedez Schofield, as well as four beautiful great-grandchildren. Her memory will also be cherished by several extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Schofield, who passed in 2018, as well as her father, Lionel Hupp, her mother, Lena Myers Ashlock, and her step-father, Jim Ashlock. She also joins in rest her sister, Carolyn Fleetwood, and brother, Gary Hupp.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Linda's life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Parkersburg, with Pastor Wayne Boone officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg.

Linda's gentle spirit and love for her family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
