Linda Beth McCune

December 12, 1947 — June 2, 2026

Parkersburg

Linda Beth McCune, 78 1/2, of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, in the city where she was born and spent her life. Linda entered the world on December 12, 1947, the daughter of Hamer and Eileen Creamer, with whom she is now joyfully reunited in heaven.

A proud alumna of Parkersburg High School, Linda was looking forward to her 60‑year reunion for the Class of 1966 and just narrowly missed attending. Throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to her community and to the people who shaped her early years.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger McCune; her son, Chad McCune; her cherished grandson, Levi McCune; her brother, Daniel Creamer (Regina); loving nieces and cousins; and her loyal Boykin Spaniel, Scout, who rarely left her side.

She was immensely proud that both her son and grandson achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a reflection of the values she lived by—service, dedication, and quiet strength. Linda herself spent countless hours volunteering with the Order of the Eastern Star, Boy Scout Troop 97, Boy Scout Troop 60, and Hospice Care, offering compassion, leadership, and assistance wherever it was needed.

Linda was a wonderful mother and grandmother—gentle, supportive, and endlessly giving. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, seen, and cared for. Those who met her felt her kindness immediately, and those who knew her loved her deeply.

Her legacy is one of service, love, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

The McCune family extends a heartfelt thank you to Maria Richard for her selfless care and compassion, helping Linda pass peacefully at home.

At her request, a small graveside service will be held for immediate family members only. Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, has been entrusted in keeping Linda’s final wishes and are honored to serve her family.
