Linda Kay Eakins

Linda K. Eakins of Vienna, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7th, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Wednesday, September 28th, 1949, in Waverly, WV, daughter of the late Lester D. and June F. Jackson. Linda enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching hummingbirds and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Halfhill (Steve); two stepsons, Steve Eakins (Kim) and Michael Eakins (Monica); brother, Michael Jackson (Sue); sisters, Brenda Dye and Mary Rousey (Buddy); brother-in-law, Phil Bayles and grandchildren, Victoria Dye, Michael Eakins, and Mathew Eakins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Eakins; sister, Tressa Bayles and brother-in-law, Gerald Dye.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
