Linda Joyce Anderson

Linda Joyce Anderson, 67, of Vienna, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born October 15, 1950, in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late Richard and Genevieve Guenther Robinson. Linda retired from the Board of Education after 32 years of service as an elementary school teacher. She was also a receptionist for Dr. Wayne Dunn Dentistry for 8 years. She was a member of St. Michaels and then St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She attended Southern Illinois University for 3 years and graduated from Glenville State College. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Scott Anderson; son, Brett Anderson of Vienna; daughter, Allison Yarboro (Kenny) of Holly Springs, NC; three sisters, Susan Preuss of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Janice Hirstein (Dan) of Shawnee, KS and Michelle Schmidt (Doug) of Dupo, IL; two grandchildren, Georgia Grace Yarboro and Kadie Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Robinson and one sister, Dianne Demetrulias. A Mass service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at The St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg with Father John Rice officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
