Date and Time of Service: Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at 2PM – Viennaposted 10/4/2010 at 12:57:08 PMLieuElla Frances Rake, 89, of Waverly, W.Va., passed away Saturday October 2, 2010, at her residence.She was born March 30, 1921, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Milton and Mary Hershman Willis.LieuElla lived on a farm off Laurel Creek Road where she raised ten children. She lived in Flagler Beach, Florida, for fourteen years, before returning to Parkersburg. Between here and Florida, she had many dear friends. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and reading her Bible. She was a Baptist by faith.She is survived by five daughters, Minnie Miller of Waverly, W.Va., LieuElla Hendershot and husband Doug of Waverly, W.Va., Nancy Cox and husband Ed of Waverly, W.Va., Clara Hemming and husband Mark of Macanaw, Michigan, and Sarah Dotson of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four sons, Donald Carter and wife Maggie of Vienna, W.Va., Herbert Rake of Parkersburg, W.Va., Hubert Rake of Waverly, W.Va., and Jerry Rake of Parkersburg, W.Va.; sixty-two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Josie Janey of Florida; and one brother, Daniel Willis of Waverly, W.Va.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Rake; one son, Asa Rake; two sisters; and one brother.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at 2:00pm at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with the Rev. Dr. William R. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow services at the Harper Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00am until time of services at the funeral home.
