Lieselotte "Lisa" Skeen

October 23, 1935 — August 30, 2019

Lieselotte “Lisa” Skeen, 83, of Parkersburg, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at home after a long illness. She was born October 23, 1935, in Cuxhaven, Germany, a daughter of the late Fredrick and Hildegart Landeck Bergner. Lisa survived WWII as a child and was a loyal German and became a proud American Citizen. She was a jack of all trades, enjoyed cooking and shopping. Lisa was a member of the DAV, American Legion, VFW and the Eagles. She is survived by her daughter, Delphia Scott (Tim) of St. Albans, WV; sister, Anna Erna Golla of Germany; brother, Gerhard Bergner of Germany; four grandchildren, Joshua Anthony (Francine), Ronald Anthony (Jodi), Brandon Scott and Tiffany Scott; five great-grandchildren, Eythen and Arwen Anthony, Jayden and Jordan Johnson and Aaron Anthony; and beloved friends, Kerstin and Ray Flowers, Joey Trippett and Dave Brannon. In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron L. Skeen; and two brothers, Fritz Bergner and Heinz Bergner. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor David Carrico officiating. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery in Kentuck, WV. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request monetary donations be made to shop with a cop in Parkersburg.
