Lewis Winston Hanlon, 85, of Parkersburg, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at Ohio Valley Health Care. He was born in Pike, West Virginia a son of the late Hayward and Juanita Britton Hanlon. Lew was an engineering supervisor at St. Joseph’s Hospital and served during the Korean Conflict with the United States Navy Airforce. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary K. Hawkins Hanlon; one daughter, Diane Hanlon of Parkersburg, WV; two sons, Michael (Sabrina) Hanlon of Morgantown, WV and Terry (Jennifer) Hanlon of Vienna, WV; one sister, Sandra Mahaney of Williamstown, WV; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lew was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Hanlon. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 497 21st. St. Vienna, WV, 26105, with Reverend Gene Full officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
