It is with great sadness that the family of Letitia Cain announces her passing on Thursday, April 19th, 2018, at the age of 51. Letitia was born March 2nd, 1967 in Parkersburg, WV. She is the daughter of the late Roger Lee Cain and Wanda Cain Whipkey. A native of Vienna, WV, Letitia was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and graduated from West Virginia University of Parkersburg with her Associates Degree in Social Work. She retired after 22 years of service with the State of West Virginia, as an officer at the Lorrie Yeager Correctional Center. Letitia was a faithful member at The Rock Church in Parkersburg for several years before moving to Mooresville, NC to be closer to her sister. She served with The Rock Pastoral Team where she was a fierce prayer warrior for the Lord. Everyone that knew Letitia knew she loved her “fur babies” Christian and Chloe, her two black cats and was fired up for Jesus. She is survived by two sisters, Rogena B. Simons (Michael) of Huntersville, NC and Rhonda LeAnn MacDougall (David) of Cudjoe Key, FL; one nephew, Connor Simons and one niece, Sydney MacDougall. A celebration of Letitia’s life and her journey to Heaven will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm at The Rock Church, 1305 37th. St., Parkersburg, with Pastor Dennis Morgan officiating. Memorial donations in memory of Letitia can be made to The Rock Church, 1305 37th St., Parkersburg, WV. 26105 Lambert-Tatman Funeral and Cremation Services of Vienna is assisting the family with arrangements.
