Leroy Robert Ayers

Leroy Robert Ayers, 62, of Walker, W.Va. passed away March 21, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.He was born October 16, 1948 in Mineral Wells, W.Va. a son of the late Robert H. and Emma Grace Sams Ayers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, was retired from the O. Ames Company and was a member of Middle Ridge Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Leroy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Campbell Ayers; daughter, Stacey Robinson (Richard) of Muncy, PA.; sons, Andrew Ayers of Waverly, W.Va., and Robert Ayers (Cassandra) of Rivesville, W.Va.; sisters, Naomi Houdyshell (Joseph) of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Debra Kerr of Murraysville, W.Va.; brothers, Wendell Ayers (Shelia), and Kenneth Kerr (Kimberly) all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; grandchildren, Alexandria Ayers, Zachary Ayers, and Glenn “Mason” Robinson; and his cats, Socks, Sugar, Squirt, Sylvester, and Smokey. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Roger Barnes officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the funeral home.
