Lee Roy King, 74, of Parkersburg, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at Eagle Pointe. He was born June 11, 1943 in Wytheville, Virginia, a son of the late Leroy King, Sr., and Esther Cline King. He obtained his Civil Engineering degree in Wytheville, Virginia. Along with his companion, Valori Smith Mace, they were co-owners of King Brothers Erection and Fabricating Company in Vienna. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Lodge #3 A.F. & A.M. of Parkersburg, the Ben Bey Grotto, also of Parkersburg, and a member of the Iron Workers Local #787 of Parkersburg. Lee Roy was a friend of Bill W. Lee Roy is survived by his companion of 23 years, Valori Smith Mace; one son, Robert Leroy King (Debbie) of Raleigh, North Carolina; two step-daughters, Samantha Mace (Tyler VanMeter) of Parkersburg and Cathy Markovich (Michael) of Washington D.C.; one grandchild, Josh King; and one sister, Wanda Helvey of Wytheville, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy McCalister. There will be no visitation or services at this time, however, a memorial service is being planned at a later date in Wytheville, Virginia.
