Larry Ice, 62, of Vienna, passed from this life to the best life on September 4, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sistersville, WV, on March 10, 1955, to C. Ervin Ice and Marybelle Lemasters Ice. His mother survives him. Larry was a graduate of Sistersville High School, Michigan Christian College and Oklahoma Christian College. He was employed by Michigan Christian College, the US Post Office in Belpre, Ohio, and Ohio Valley University. Larry was a member of the Grand Central Church of Christ in Vienna, where he had served as deacon, song leader, and Bible class teacher. Larry truly loved people and had a special gift for reaching out to others. Having been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2004, he began a support group in Vienna to help others who faced the same challenges. He is survived by his wife of 36 years,, Molly Gates Ice, his two sons, Matthew (Amy) Ice of Raymond, Ohio, and Ryan (Jessie) Ice of Vienna, three grandsons, Peyton, Mason and Landon Ice of Raymond, Ohio; and two granddaughters, Maggie and Gracie Ice of Vienna. His grandkids were his pride and joy. Along with his Mother, Larry is also survived by one brother, Jim (Carol) Ice of Vienna and one sister, Martha Berger (Dave) of Pakersburg; three sisters-in-law, Pam Ice of Denver, Colorado, Judy Gates of Williamstown and Judy (Everett) Hutson of Vienna; and one brother-in-law, Don Gates of Vienna; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Ice. Visitation will be at the Grand Central Church of Christ, 5805 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and for one hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Joe Spivy will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Lambert Tatman of Vienna is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grand Central Church of Christ building fund, Ohio Valley University, or the Parkinson's research organization of your choice.
