Lawrence K. Davis

Lawrence K. Davis, 96 of Lubeck/Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Oct. 18, 2014 at Ravenswood Care Center.He was born Jan. 27, 1918 in Boggs Fork outside of Spencer, W.Va., a son of the late Sheldon and Florence Hurst Davis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He worked at Monongahela Power Company for 33 years and loved cars.Lawrence is survived by his wife of 66 years, Iris June Patterson Davis; three sons, Henry Neal Davis (Barbara) of Belmont, W.Va., Randall A. Davis (Lois) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Timothy S. Davis of Lubeck, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Park, Brooks, Harold, and Junior; two sisters, Madge and Betty.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg with Pastor Paul Drake officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, W.Va. Visitation will be from Noon until time of service Monday at the funeral home.The family would like to give a special thanks to the Ravenswood Care Center, his caregiver, Linda, and Housecalls of Parkersburg.
