Laura Ann Young, 51, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away on July 3, 2017 at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 6, 1965 in Lancaster, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Linda Lambert Miesse. Laura was previously employed by Yankee Candle and the Williamstown Pharmacy. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Vienna where she served as a deacon. She was co-captain of the Relay for Life team, “Team Forever Young” and a member of the Williamstown Relay for Life Committee. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael Young; two daughters, Brittany and Ashley Young of Williamstown; her beloved pup Ella Grace; two sisters, Lisa Clark (Kelly) and Lacee King (Phil) both of Lancaster, Ohio; father-in-law, Loyd Young of Amanda, Ohio; in-laws, Sheryl Tatman (Dave) of Brooksville, Florida, Mark Young (Marsha) also of Amanda, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Catherine “Kitty” Young. A memorial service for Laura will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 708 54th Street, Vienna, WV with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna, WV from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the memorial service at the church on Friday. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Amanda Township Cemetery in Amanda, Ohio at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Williamstown Relay for Life or the Westminster Presbyterian Church memory garden.
