Laura Joann Groves

Laura Joann Groves, 61, of Parkersburg, passed away February 12, 2026 at her residence. She was born May 24, 1964 in Akron, OH., a daughter of the late Cecil and Georgene Parr Keener.

After graduating from Wirt County High School, Laura was a homemaker and loving mother who enjoyed taking care of her children, of whom she is survived by. She has three sons, James Maze (Jodie), Jacob and Jericho Groves, all of Parkersburg, and one daughter, Rachel Groves (Samuel Lambert) of Newton Falls, OH. She is also survived by two brothers, David Keerner of Parkersburg and Clair Keener (Vickie) of Elizabeth; and five grandchildren. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, she often enjoyed watching a good movie.

Per Laura’s wishes, there will be no public services. Lambert Tatman Funeral Homes, South Parkersburg, have been entrusted with Laura’s final wishes and are honored to serve her family.
