Larry G. Barnhouse

Larry G. Barnhouse, 79, of Washington, W.Va. passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born August 22, 1936 in Wood County, W.Va. son of the late James Vernon and Vada Elizabeth Gwynn Barnhouse. Larry was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and a sergeant in the Military Police. He retired from DuPont after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Hopewell Church of Christ. He loved his farm, football and was a spectator of many sports. He survived by his wife of fifty six years, Betty Ward Barnhouse; his four children, LouAnne Barnhouse Brown (Jamie) of Bald Head Island, NC., Lisa Eaton (Michael) of Washington, W.Va., Jim Barnhouse (Tia) of Fulton, KY and Michael Barnhouse (Jennifer) of Johns Creek, GA.; five grandchildren, Jonathan Eaton (Charity, Lester, and Leigha Parker), Thomas Eaton, Daniel Barnhouse, Grace Barnhouse and Meredith Barnhouse; and nephew, Lee Barnhouse (Tammy) of Parkersburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Barnhouse. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg assisted the family with arrangements.
