L. Sue Nelson

Sue Nelson, 76, of Parkersburg passed away January 4, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV with her husband by her side. She was born October 10, 1942 in Gay, WV, a daughter of the late Clyde and Beatrice Litton Rhodes. Sue was a graduate of PHS class of 1961, retired from G.E. Plastics with over 33 years of services and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Sue enjoyed the beach and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Sue is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Nelson; three children, Kimberly Wade (Jeff) of Parkersburg, Amy Sevic (Joe) of Mooresville, N.C. and Troy Nelson (Tara) of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Shannon and Jacob Wade, Drew and Anna Sevic and Sophie, Carter and Max Nelson; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Sue Wade; and a great-grandson due in April. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Rhodes; and one sister, Evonne Hofmann. Memorial services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Grace Baptist Church in Parkersburg with Pastor Todd Hill officiating. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
