Kenny Ralph Parsons

November 2, 1956 — September 20, 2024

Kenny Ralph Parsons, 67, passed away Sept. 20, 2024 in Huntington, WV. He was born November 2, 1956, son of Everett and Laura Parsons in Elizabeth, Wirt County, WV.

Kenny attended Wirt County High School. He had a memory so keen and could remember dates and times and even conversations he had with people, going back to when he was just old enough to remember things. Kenny also lived a life long battle with mental illness. Despite the illness that he was dealt with he did everything he could to help his parents in their last years and then with his sister, Wanda. They looked out for each other until she passed which was extremely hard for Kenny.
He loved to play his guitar with his dad and could play the banjo. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting trips, and raising big gardens with his dad and mom.
Kenny could make friends with just about anyone that he met and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Kenny is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Green of Akron, OH; Kathrine Morris of Stumptown, WV; Shelia Halstead and husband, Ottis of Palestine, WV; April Halstead and husband, Phillip of Palestine, WV; sister-in-law, Jean Parsons of Tallmadge, OH; brother-in-law, Bob Bolen of Creston, OH; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Dean and Harley; sisters, Virginia, Maggie, and Wanda; brother-in-laws, James Wright, Franklin John Green, and Bernard Morris.
