Kenneth R. Ryan, Sr. (Rocky), passed to his heavenly home on December 29, 2017. He was born May 28, 1926, to the late Addison Edward and Iva Horner Ryan in Fairmont, WV. Rocky graduated from Salem High School in 1944. He then enlisted in the Army Air Corps to serve his country in World War II. On returning, he became an electrician and later attended college to become an electrical designer. He was employed at Borg Warner/GE with 25 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #4 in Morgantown, WV. He was an avid ham radio operator, enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and reading. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Paula Ryan. Sons: Kenneth R. Jr. of Clarksburg, WV, Edward H. (Barbara) of Las Vegas, NV, Michael L. (Dene) of Avon, WV, and Ronald S. (Tammy) of Twinsburg, OH. Daughters: Jennifer Logue (Phil) of Belpre, OH and Julie Scott (Mike) of Cornelius, NC. Grandchildren: Laura Beth Lloyd (Lyle) of Urbana, OH, Jason Ryan, Atlanta, GA, Tracie Rather, (Randy) and Erin Perez (Alex) of Vienna, WV, Robert Ryan (Katie) of Hampton, VA, Jamie Oakes of Mebane, NC, Ashley Ryan of Summersville, WV, Rebecca Ryan of Charlotte, NC, John Logue (Katie) and Jacob Logue of Belpre, OH, Alex Scott and Abby Scott of Cornelius, NC. Great Grandchildren: Joe, Courtney and Nicole Rather and Anthony and Cadence Perez of Vienna, WV, Spencer Malay, Alex and Conner Oakes of Mebane, NC and {female} Logue arriving in February. Rocky attended Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna, WV and Indian Fork Baptist Church in Coldwater, WV. Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Helen Middleton Ryan, two brothers, Harry and James Ryan and two half sisters, Opel Rariden and Ethel Gallagher. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Lambert-Tatman funeral home in Vienna with Pastor Dan Fisher officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. American Legion Post #15 will perform Military Rites at the cemetery as well as Vienna Lodge #172 will perform Masonic Rites. Visitation will be noon until 2:00 pm the day of the service.
