Kenneth R. Lamp, 85, of Vienna, WV passed away April 8, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born February 27, 1932 in Hebron, WV, the son of the late Herbert C. and Vesta Wilson Lamp. He was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ. He was retired after 29 years and 11 months of service at the Willow Island Power Station and proudly served during the Korean Conflict in the Army where he was on the front line at armistice. He is survived by his wife, Mary L. Rea Lamp; two daughters, Marilyn S. (James II) Bredon of Greensboro, North Carolina and Melanie K. Lamp, of Michigan City, Indiana; two brothers, Carl Lamp of Bentonville, Arkansas and James Lamp of Newport, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Morgan, James III, Ashlyn and Kierston Bredon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant sister, Alice Lenore. Funeral services will at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday April 11, 2017 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna WV, with Evangelist Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Island Cemetery.
